Meet Dr. Matthew Wagner

Associate Dentist

We have all been anticipating the arrival of a bright, new associate who is finally here! Dr. Matt graduated from LECOM (Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine) with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in June 2017.  In 2018 he also completed an extensive dental residency with the Minneapolis VA Clinic.  Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Matt and his wife moved to Green Bay bringing considerable talent to our practice. We believe that our patients now have the best of both worlds: a young, personable, fresh dentist with all the latest training and techniques, coupled with the benefits of a seasoned senior dentist who has a steady and very knowledgeable presence!  They make a great team because they share the same family values, high ethical standards and strong desire to offer the highest possible standard of care.

About me...

As Dr. Wagner’s son, I have been around the office since I was kid. My dad believes in a strong work ethic, so as kids, we were always doing jobs around the office and expected to work hard. Seeing the great relationships my Dad has with his patients and knowing I had an interest in healthcare, I decided to follow my father’s footsteps into the dental field.  I graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) School Of Dentistry in Bradenton, Florida, June 2017 and completed a year long Dental Residency at the Minneapolis Area Veterans Clinc in St. Paul, MN in 2018.  The experience I received there was outstanding! It was rigorous and challenging and sharpened my skills in many areas including that of endodontics and implant dentistry.

I joined the Wagner Family Dentistry team July 2018 and have truly enjoyed getting to know our patients and earning their confidence and trust. I am passionate about dentistry and helping people achieve great oral health.  It is my philosophy that oral health has a huge impact on overall health and that nutrition and quality of life go hand in hand.  I am also passionate about learning and continuing education so I eagerly stay on top of changes and advances in the field of dentistry in order to offer my patients the best possible options for their dental care.

I married my wife Jenica and graduated from dental school the same week in June 2017!.  We have a furry, little white and brown pomperanian named Mika that came with my wife as "a package deal".  We recently purchased a home on the northeast side and have thoroughly enjoyed becoming active in the Green Bay community.  We place a high value on faith, family and friends and divide our time between our family and friends here in Wisconsin, Flordia, Minnesota and Iowa.  Jenica and I have gotten involved in Young Life which is a faith based program that mentors area youth.  We enjoy the personal connections that we can cultivate there and love that we can pay it forward by building into the next generation.

Growing up in Wisconsin, I have always enjoyed the big outdoors. Fishing, hunting, and camping were important parts of my childhood. While in Florida, I took up scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, and paddle boarding.  I love being back in the Midwest, but I do miss the beach!  I am an avid reader and enjoy learning more about dentistry, history, science, aviation, or just random facts!

June 2020 Jenica and I welcomed our son Daxton.  Being new parents is everything we thought it would be only with less sleep!  He is a joy and reminds us everyday of the blessing of a new life!

Some fun facts about me are that I have my pilot’s license, love to play the guitar and have never played golf!
